Lavoro su piattaforma e legislazione del lavoro in India: il coinvolgimento delle donne e il ruolo del genere

La ricerca esamina le esperienze dei lavoratori condizionate dal genere nell’economia della piattaforme digitali in India. Viene presentata una nuova metodologia per studiare le condizioni di lavoro e i problemi chiave affrontati dai lavoratori delle piattaforme nei segmenti dei servizi alla persona e di bellezza. I dati analizzati comprendono 328 lavoratori (sia uomini che donne) associati a due piattaforme diffuse in India. É emerso che la maggior parte dei lavoratori affronta problemi come il controllo algoritmico, l’insufficienza del supporto tecnico, la sottoposizione a meccanismi di feedback, la necessità di rispettare i protocolli di sicurezza e le preoccupazioni sui costi. Il paper richiama inoltre l'attenzione sulle disposizioni esistenti destinate alle lavoratrici e sui recenti sviluppi legislativi relativi al lavoro sulle piattaforme in India. Attraverso un'analisi dettagliata delle esperienze dei lavoratori, l’articolo propone un riallineamento del quadro giuridico indiano rispetto al panorama tecnologico in rapida evoluzione a livello globale. Viene altresì sottolineata la necessità di garantire l’inclusività di genere nell’accesso al mercato del lavoro.
