Abstract

This contribution focuses on the evolution of mental frames and techno-scientific innovations leading to the so-called immersive technologies (AR and VR), which are the dynamic core of the metaverse. This latter is conceived as a “space of the possible” for the world of work, but at the same time substantial limits are illustrated such as the risks of combining immersive technologies and new tracking and monitoring pervasive technologies are then introduced. Hence the need to introduce and effective regulation
